The Whale Factory of Boqueirão is located in the village and municipality of Santa Cruz das Flores, on the island of Flores, in the Azores. It currently houses the Museum of the Whale Factory of Boqueirão.
It was erected by the initiative of Francisco Marcelino dos Reis, an industrialist from Lisbon, for the production of whale oil. Construction began in 1941, and it became operational in 1944.
No longer in use, it is classified as a Public Interest Property by Resolution No. 67/99, dated April 29. In 2009, it underwent restoration work and the building was transformed into a museum, inaugurated in July 2015.
